Hob ignition and cooker hood

1. Is it safe to plug the gas hob (for the ignition) straight into a normal socket or does it need to be a FCU

2. The same question again but for a cooker hood.

Electrically safe, not pleasing to the eye, and may not be so easy t protect against accidental splashingg/steam etc. so possibly not complyig with the spirit of the regs.
Typical power consumption for a gas ignition ignition is <10watts, and for a hood with lights and fan, you'll get change out of assuming 500watts, even with start-up surges, so a 3A fuse will be fine.
