Despite changing the ceramic disc unit, the drip continues. It does this through the bath tap or shower head depending on whether the 'lever' is depressed or not. Any constructive ideas or advice welcomed!

I would suggest you study how the cartridge unit fits into the mixer. Is it possible that a seal lets water pass into the water route?
