Holes in clothes

My washing machine is making holes in everything. I don't see anything sticking out of the holes in the drum.

I don't think it's the bleach. We don't use that much and the holes are getting worse. A typical T-shirt might have five good sized holes in it.

Have you got cats?

I used to get holes appearing in my t shirts and couldn't work out why.

Turned out the cat was sticking his claws through the fabric making pin holes. Each time the garment was washed, these holes got bigger and bigger!

My brother is having the same problem with a front loading Bosch.

Thanks to all. I finally called in a repair person. It turns out it was the dryer-not the washer-and it needed a new part.

Do you know what part was replaced as i'm having the same problem with a t-shirt, my dryer is a siemens. Maybe not the same make as yours but it may point me in the right direction.
