Just taken up some flooring and found some holes drilled for cables when the house was built 25 odd years ago.
The only thing that concerns me is that they aren't in the centre of the joist vertically! In some places they are about 1/4 of the way down from the top and in other about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom!
Should I leave well alone or drill new holes with a horizontal offset from the originals and screw some kind of plate over the originals?
