Hi

Had fence done about a year ago. Sitting in conservatory and noticed these round holes for the first time. Think they may be where knot holes in wood have fallen out. Is that right? Seems to defeat the object in terms of privacy. Also a risk that other areas of fence could go sane way?

I guess panels just have to be replaced?

Thanks

Well if they're not holes, what are they?

:ROFLMAO:

You'd do better to get a piece of thin scrap timber and glue patches over the holes.

Thanks. Is it likely they’ve been there from the off? Think I would have noticed it before today?

Possibly the branch that made the core of the knot just dried out and fell out

Ok thanks. Knowing my luck, others will dry out, and it’ll end up looking like a piece of Swiss cheese. Don’t think I’ve ever seen this phenomenon in all the feather edge panels I’ve seen over the years.

yes, and some more will fall out over time.

I haven't seen feather board with so many knots. I know it's pine but I have just bought fifteen panels and there aren't many knots in them.
