Anyone any recommendations for the best type of adjustable holesaws to cut ceilings ready for downlights? My existing unbranded one is knackered. Do people prefer adjustable or many different one size ones?
Adjustable hole saws can be very useful if you want holes with burnt edges. They also remove far more wood than is necessary - ideal if you are low on sawdust. Finally, because they always make a hole between 0.5 and 3 mm wider than you want, you get that fashionable 'hand made' look where nothing fits properly. Cutting thick boards or hardwood will also be good exercise as you struggle to stop the drill wrenching out of your hand.
Buy yourself a set of proper ones, you'll never look back.
