Hi All,
I'm renovating the kitchen and just clearing down before 1st fix.
I'm planning on putting amtico down so getting the floor right is important. I've lifted the old carpet and vinyl tiles and having a tap around realised that parts (2 sqm) of the floor, particularly around the edges and corners sounds hollow. Lifting a bit I found, as expected, that the last 1-2" screed that they've bunged down was not bonded well to the previous layer (and a pretty soft mix).
My question is... do I need to lift this everywhere that is blown?... or lift the whole lot?... or leave it as is? Want to get it right before I pile on as it's a big room. (>30sqm).
Thanks!
