Homelux wall matting is produced in rolls of 5 metres x 1 metre.

If placing this on the wall horizontally, is the correct way to do this to start from the bottom of the wall placing one horizontally there, then place one horizontally above this but leave a small overlap (how much overlap?) so that the higher one is laid slightly over the top of the lower one?

Is joint tape required along this horizontal join even if it is overlapped in this manner?

Thanks!

Also, (I haven't watched the video as of typing) make sure to use a slow setting adhesive with the matting. Had a few customers attempt to use rapidset and it doesn't bond properly and will delaminate very quickly. Spoke to one of the reps for the manufacturer and he agreed that slow setting adhesive would be much better for fixing.

In regards to your original question, no they shouldn't overlap but should be laid close together and sealed with joint tape. Don't forget to use the corrosponding corner pieces if needs be.
