I replaced one headlight buld and the other failed on th same day.

After replacing the second bulb I found that it was not giving the full beam but just stays on dipped.

Can anyone confirm that it uses a seperate relay for each side to dip/full beam?

If so where are they situated?

probally blown bulb

dont buy in petrol station as they are thrown about

go to motor factor

dont touch the glass neither

The replacement bulb is fine and works Ok on the other side!

So what switches the supply from dipped to full?

Tony

I'd be inclined to test for voltage at the plug that goes onto the bulb first.

Probably, but as it remains on dipped beam surely that is not the problem?

yes could well be

some cars have a fuse for every piece of equipment and loads dont

BUT first check

it could be loads of things
