Hello

i have acquired (eBay) a Honeywell flex fx20 panel and don’t have any code seems to work ok but can’t full test without access

I was hoping to default the panel and use it for a backup or testing

I am using the Honeywell flashing program and also have all the firmware files

Am connecting to the panel using a USB as it’s a flex and can see it on the computer showing as a com port however the flashing program won’t move past restart the panel and I have done that inline with the instructions

have I missed a step or making a foolish mistake?

thanks
chris

That looks correct. When the program asks you to restart, you can plug in the USB to the panel and power it on. It should then proceed to the next stage of validating the panel type, removing old firmware and loading the update.

What does Windows device manager look like for the COM ports ?

I have just uninstalled and reinstalled the program and was given this message

error occurred Honeywell panel USB Driver

the program still installs and the panel still shows up on the computer under a valid com port but not sure if I need to try find out if you can install the drives?

I have exact same issue and cannot find way to get past USB driver not installing. Win 11 here, have tried compatibility mode on the install etc. Any help appreciated.

You just ignore that error. Have you updated the ODBC driver to support encryption? The latest RSS uses encryption with the database connection.
