I have a new Honeywell timer (ST9400S). The display on the hot water side goes blank occasionally, although I can still see the little icon which indicates the different settings (auto/on/off etc.) By looking over to the heating display I know which it's set to. Is this just a display issue not affecting the operation of the timer or is it likely to die in the middle of January? Fitted by experts (i.e. not me!).
This timer doesn't allow you to choose different on/off times for different days. If I'm likely to ditch my current one, can someone recommend a timer that will fit the wiring for this one and allow me more flexibility?

Those links are very useful - I've thanked you! But what I meant was a timer that would, for example, have things coming on at 6.00am on weekdays and 8.00am at the weekend. This timer won't let you do that. I do like being able to have water and heating at different times though, but a variable daily cycle is what I'm after.
