Dear All

I have a rayburn 480 AG.

and the gas vave reset button on the honeywell J4600T keeps popping out when heating is required for hot water. this dos not happen imediatly and is not consistant when it pops out but when it dos it cuts out the pilot light on the boiler part.

Do i need to replace this valve or is there somthing else that may cause the gas valve reset button to keep poping out.

Any he;lp wouold be gratly recieved.

You have probably got a problem with poor circulation in your cylinder primary pipework. This is causing an overheat in the boiler, which is cutting out to protect itself. You need to cure the disease, not the symptoms. Call your installer or serviceman if in doubt.

When you say poor cercalation. are you meaning the central heating pipework including rads. as this problem has only happened recently

Check the water level in the expansion tank situated in the attic.

Yes, I do mean poor circulation in the central heating system, but you stated that it was only when producing hot water.

If there is also a problem with central heating, then the whole system needs checking, starting with the feed and expansion tank. Then check that your pump is running.

Thank you for replys what i have is a Tribune HE Unvented Cylinder.
the water pump is running ok
i am running it now to heat up water in cylinder only at this moment.

Thank you for all the replys.

I have fixed it. it turned out to be a blocked filter.

Bril.
