Hi,

Thanks in advance for any pointers offered.

As above, looking to change our Honneywell timer to Hive Active Heating Thermostat V3 Hot Water. The old timer can no longer keep time!!

I've read the instructions and various threads/videos of other installations. I know there are 'live' links from 1 to 5 and 5 to 8 on the Honneywell. When you remove those it is then possible to translate current wiring to the Hive installation guide which I have done in the image.

My only question is what happens to "heating off (NC)", as that's currently 4 on the Honneywell which is blank, so will that be left blank on the Hive?

Our system has a water tank in the loft with a cylinder in the airing cupboard, a heating pump and a motorised valve. This may answer the question as the motorised valve is in place?

Thanks

Hello Ian,

It looks relatively straightforward, and you seem to understand it. So yes, transfer all corresponding wires over to Hive, but absolutely no links. Heating off is not required, but you will need the hot water off.
