Hoover 1300 washing machine

CA 230 special edition model. Not spinning. Have been told that the motor has gone - the machine had been tripping the electric occasionally when in use before finally the spinning stopped. The machine is working otherwise ie filling, pumping etc .Have I been told a porky and the motor is ok ? ie not spinning for another reason.

Obvious question is, who told you the motor had gone?
Tripping the mains can be one of several causes and cannot accurately be diagnosed remotely. The correct way to check is to megger the components.

Hi Did you get your spinning problem sorted? Mine has just started doing the same - fills, washes and drains ok - just won't spin!

Check the carbon brushes in your motor. If they are ok then it's either the belt, motor or module.
