Hoover auto-wash 800 slow spin and smells

Hi,

I have recently noticed some problems with my Hoover Auto-washer 800 (soft wave)
1. doesnt seem to spin as fast and seems to struggle to build up speed
(and clothes are still quite wet)
2. drum smells of stale water but no water in drum

A friend has told me that a filter maybe blocked but I dont remember seeing a filter unit in it ?

Any ideas or assistance would be great.

Do you know if this model has a filter and if so its likely position inside the unit ?

sorry no idea what so ever (unless you follow the grey waste pipe backwards)
