General comment / question. Just bought a new freezer over the internet, delivered everything o.k about 1 month ago started using it a week ago then the handle snapped off, hoover came out replaced handle son opening freezer last night, handle snaps off !!!!!!!!!! . Where do I stand obviously if I complain they'll come and replace handle but am I better of trying to get my money back circa 300 notes and buy another make or what ? :cry:

dont think youll get your money back untill you have exausted the repair merrygoround

the machine continues to work propperly it is returned to an as new condition i think you will have to grin and bear it untill the umpteenth new handle has broken before you have any chance of prooveng it "wasn't fit for purpose"

youve got to give the manufacturer "reasonable chance to repair" and when you can agree or proove "its beyond reasonable" then you can think about a refund or replacement :cry:
 
It might be worth writing to

(1) the retailer saying you are not satisfied (so they can't say they weren't warned if you take a while before rejecting the freezer)

(2) the manufacturer as they ought to be made aware that they are making a shoddy product and possibly thinking about changing the handle design.
