hoover hd83m fault. fills but won't wash.

Hi, i've just sold my hd83m dishwasher. it was working fine when i disconnected it and was only out of use for about 2 weeks. the new owner has contacted me saying that he has just connected it and it fills with water but doesn't start the wash cycle.
any ideas what could be causing this??

at a guess its the main pump jammed, as most d/w leak at the seals and when people go on holiday for a week or 2 the bearings jam. if you take the side panel off or look and see if u can get at in from the bottom u might get it free by givin it a flick..

Some dishwashers have a screwdriver slot in the end of the wash pump motor spindle so you can turn them if they get stuck.
