hoover hnl 7166 washing machine does not finish cycle

I have has this machine for around 2 years and now i have a problem, basically
The program does not finish. For example the 40C cotton wash works ok for around 45 mins and then the time remaining light shows 15 mins so at this point everything is ok, then suddenly the time remaining light goes back to 60 mins. On some of the shorter programs the all the machine does is keeps spinning.

Can anyone put me in the right direction?
