Hi Guys
My machine is 4 years old and has never even made a squeak until last week. It now knocks on the spin/rinse part of the cycle. Please can you advise me if this is the brushes. If so how much are they and is it cheaper to buy a new machine?

Why do you think it may be the brushes ? If it was, the motor would be struggling to turn, is this the case ? If not, are you putting in larger than normal loads ? If not, does it do this with light loads too ? If so, more likely the bearings.

Check the concrete block on the bottom of the drum, these sometimes work loose. When leaning the machine over to look underneath, always lean it toward the soap drawer side as otherwise water remaining in the drawer can drip onto the electronics (don't ask how I know this ).
