hoover six express won't fast spin

Hi first time on these boards so please bear with me,
my wife did the washing yesterday and the clothes did not spin dry
it dose not spin before rince and dose not fast spin, the drum dose go round when washing but dose not fast spin,
can enyone help with this problem please,

The most common reason why a machine does not go into top speed spin mode is that the drum has not emptied of water by the time the programmer has moved onto spin due to a partial blockage in the drain system. therefore because the drum is not empty the pressure switch does not give an ok to the programmer that the drum is empty and will not go into fast spin mode.
