Hoover Washer Stops in Mid-Cycle

Hoover Family 1300 Mega Load (2 years old) keeps stopping in mid -cycle (usually part way through rinse).
To re-start the program has to be reset.

Any ideas?

There may be a partial blockage in the pump plumbing causing the programme to time out on the draining part of the rinse. If there is a filter fitted you need to check that first.

Also, if you have a standpipe, check how far down the drain tube has been poked into it.

Recently I saw one where the tube was all the way down to the trap - the washing m/c kept stalling before the program ended.
