Hoover washing machine makes dirty greasy marks on washing

Hi there,
I have a hoover washing machine model : HF7160E. we have had it for a few years now and had no problems until now. the machine seems to all work ok but the clothes when they come out from a wash have dirty greasy marks left on the clothes. Can anyone explain to me why as it is really frustrating.

Are the bearing noisy! I recently replaced the drum bearing on my hoover washing machine due to them being very noisy. I noticed when removing the bearings that the grease from them was all over the back of the drum. However the wife didn't mention there being any grease on our clothes etc.

Are the marks grey and difficult to remove. Also are you in a hard water area?
