Horsehair in plaster?

I was wondering if anybody would be able to take a look at this photo and say whether the strands in the plaster are animal hair or asbestos? Hope the picture shows up clearly.

Am no expert, but to me it looks like it could be asbestos but the pic isn't great to see for sure.. Animal hair tends to have more colours (brown etc) and finer ends, whereas your strands in the pic are stubby and the colour more akin to asbestos.

If it was plastered before the end of the 80's then it could well be asbestos, they stopped using it around then if that helps.

Or it could just be fibres.

Is it jute scrim from a joint ?

Looks like standard fibre additive to me.

Way too big for asbestos fibres.
