Just bought a new washing machine and have never plummed one in before and am in need of a little help with a couple of things. 1) Is it possible to extend both hoses from the back of the machine (the inlet and outlet hoses)?
2) Because of the layout of the flat the machine has to be plummed in everytime we use it so is it ok to use the sink as the place to put the water outlet pipe. This is only for the time being as we are hoping to move soon!!!

Cheers

There is no problem with using the sink as an outlet, as long as it is not over 1m above the outlet of the machine.

It may also be an idea to make sure the outlet hose is secured to the sink in some way, just incase it flops out when it is pumping out.

The correct method would be to move the appliance valve/valves closer to the feeds for the machine. The sames go's for the waste outlet.

You can buy extension feed hoses of 2.5 mtres also drain hoses which will connect to your excisting drain hose with ferrels & j clips, you can purchase these from any D.I.Y shop.

you can use the hoses from the old washer, and extend them using the new hoses with a brass connector in the middle.
