Hi, I did search for this and couldn't find any help, so:
I have just fitted a new bathroom and have noticed the following problem:
The basin hot tap, if turned on from cold and allowed to heat up then turned off is fine. But if it's then turned on again whilst the tap is still hot there is a banging sound and the hot pipe vibrates and screeches.
All other taps are fine - i have a combi boiler.
Could the hot water pressure be too high, and if so would fitting a isolator to control pressure do the trick?
Or does it sound like the tap is faulty?
Thanks for any help
