Hot water but no central heating.

Hi,

I have a Worcester Heatslave 15/19 oil fired boiler, which is only giving hot water but no heating. It is firing up for hot water but not for the heating.

We're getting an engineer out tonight (hopefully, as it's so cold!) but i'd like an idea as to what it might be so I know how much it might cost!

Others better qualified than me will be along soon but it sounds like a simple motorised valve fault; usually what happens is that the motor fails and the valve doesn't open to allow hot water into the heating circuit. Usually the motor can be replaced without the need to drain the system. Shouldn't cost too much!
