Last night we couldn't get any proper hot water as it kept coming hot then going cold again. I could see looking at the boiler than the burner was going out every few seconds, causing the temperature to drop right back.
From looking online I thought probably a clogged up plate heat exchanger.
This morning, the problem seemed to be there when using the bath taps, but not the downstairs kitchen taps. They were fine.
Now in the bath taps, I've managed to get water by not setting the taps to full temperature.
Any ideas?
Could it still be the clogged plate exchanger, but this causes an intermittant problem only? Or is the problem only being caused when water temperature tries to get too high?
Boiler is a Baxi Duo Tec Combi.
