Over the last two days the hot water from our combi boiler (worcester) has got much hotter and the time taken waiting to get the hot water has decreased substantially...

There is no hot water temperature setting adjustment available, so am I right to assume that the factory set thermostat may have gone wrong?

Your post is as sketchy as your avatar and motto. The only difference by both sides is that 'brexit' and 'being negotiated' should be replaced by 'The EU' and 'accepted unquestioningly'.
What boiler do you have? How did the hot water perform? (poorly is not enough, quantity and temperatures are needed) How does it now perform?
Let's have some facts.

Sorry to tell you the bad news, but with that as an Avatar , you will get advice from the Biasi twins they are experts on politics but know absolutely diddly squat about boilers, good luck

Simplest explanation. Your combi is designed to heat the water coming in by a set temperature. The water going in to your boiler is warmer at the moment therefore comes out hotter.
