Is it possible to use a central heating type pump as opposed to a
shower pump to improve the hot water flow rate to my kitchen tap
{ restrictive tail fittings on new tap. } I realise a shower pump kicks
in when when the water flow starts as opposed to a c/h pump that
requires a signal. Is there somthing I can add to the system when the hot water is used so that the c/h pump works in the same way as a shower
pump, Why a shower pump you ask!! Less space taken up, quieter,
and much easier fitting.

sadly but the answer is no, a central heating pump as you call it is a circulator and not a pump they are two different animals you need a PUMP

You can also add a flow switch so it will work in the same way a shower pump works coming on when a tap is opened.

Sorry mate wasnt being pedantic just had images of OP fitting a Grunny circulator to his mains inlet, good advice on the UPA15-90

Many thanks for both your inputs and point taken Re: the C/H pump!!
what I am hoping to do is to fit a punp in line with the hot gravity
feed, and only need a small improvement on the preasure, and I would
prefere not to have a shower pump taking up space within the airing
cupoard. I will now search for items mentioned to resolve my problem.
I would not recomend fitting this type of tap to any who rely on gravity
fead only, as because of the pull out tap hose there is no room to fit
larger tail size to the tap body, live and learn!!
