Hot water tank - Lukewarm water

We have a hot water tank that runs luke warm in the mornings for about 5 minutes then it runs completely cold!

Before we ran the bath this morning i felt the top of the hot water tank and it felt warmish. After the bath ran it was completely cold, although the pipes on the right side of the tank were pretty hot. Any ideas are much appreciated?

I've adjusted the strap on thermostat to a higher temprature, but im assuming its not that as the pipes are hot.

You haven't given us any indication of the boiler or type of system that is supposed to be heating the cylinder.

Looking into my crystal ball I would check any hot water zone valve is opening correctly first off.

Mate, i am a complete novice - i have NO knowledge on plumbing whatsover!

I think its an immersion type cylinder? I'll have a look tonight. Cheers..

Looks like a may have to call a Plumber
