The water pressure from my bath hot water tap has been decreasing almost to a dribble. Yet my bathroom basin and kitchen hot water pressure is fine. Any ideas on what the problem could be??
Check whether the basin and kitchen are fed by the mains, while the bath is fed by a separate tank. If so, check the tank - probably in the loft - it may not be filling properly - ball-cock??
First check the hot tap,see if it need a new washer could be wear & tear.If the tap is okay see if the ballcock is okay, you might have a airlock.Sometimes the ballcock can jammed without you knowing, therefore the water in the tank draw in air when tank is empty and fill up again when the ballcock feels like it !If you got a shower/bath tap mixer you can get a garden hose connect to the shower point somehow and open up the hot tap & the shower mixer valve and blast the water and airlock back to the water tank.Don't do it for too long the water tank will fill up and out of the overflow pipe! Get someone by the water tank to keep an eye on it. If this does it,best to change the ballcock....pretty cheap.
