Hot water toilet

Had a strange one today, did a routine toilet float valve change but noticed that the water in the cistern was warm to hot. I mentioned it to the customer who said that she had never noticed it before. I tried the cold taps on the basin and bath and both were hot for a while before turning cold. She has a pumped heating system and the cistern and taps are supplied by the tank in the loft. The heating was on so guess that somewhere along the line a heating pipe could be too close to a cold water pipe.

Any other suggestions?

i'd go with the heating pipes too close to the domestic pipes

I'd go for dopey installer. ;)
It would not be the first time a loo was plumbed to the DHW by a 'professional'.
