hi i have a halstead finest gold, havin problems with hot water, i have to open the hot water tap fully for it to fire up, and this only happens sometimes, could anyone tell me the problem please

Isolate mains water into boiler.
Drain through hot tap
Loosen grub screws and remove HW flow switch.
Open up flow switch and replace diaphragm.
Refit. Turn on water. Look for leaks.

I dont know what your capable of but its considered a fairly easy job
