Help!!! The control knob that turns to set the drying time no longer clicks when it is turned.Has anyone any ideas?Thanks in advance

two possibilities best one the plastic knob shaft is fractured/broke and just turninig on the dryer timer shaft. Pull off and inspect. or the dryer timer unit is shot replace whole unit
