Hotpoint Aquarius Dishwasher

My dishwasher has been working fine but now when I try any cycle there is no watering entering the machine, I have checked the feed pipe and that is not blocked I have also checked the drainage pipe just in case this was blocked and there was a safety switch but this is clear, any ideas please ?
Thank U to diyisfun, I lifted the machine up as you suggested and the flood water poured out and now the machine is working...Spot on

There is a float switch at the base of the machine in a tray, it may have flooded.
Tip the machine forward see if any water comes out of the tray.

Cut down on the rinse aid as this may be overfoaming and causing water to run down into the base via the anti-flood device
