Hotpoint Aquarius Not Taking in Powder

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WMA58S which I bought 13 Months ago and It is not taking in water via the main soap dispenser on certain programs.

If I select prewash the prewash tray fills up ok. (meaning the Prewash solenoid seems ok)

If I select program C Colourfast Cottons 60 Degrees

The Coldwater does not fill up the powder tray. But the hotwater does.

If I select program d non colourfast cotton at 40 degrees

Only the prewash tray works no water goes into the powder tray.

I assumed this meant the coldwater solenoid to the powder tray must have gone.

But on one final test I tried program L handwash and Program J Silks 30 Degrees and both of the put cold water into the powder tray and filled up the machine.

This meant the cold water solenoid appears to be working fine and it must be something else.

Does anyone have any other ideas as to what it could be.

powder is usually taken in by the hot valve, conditioner by the cold

I dont think it is taking the detergent on the program either. although as I posted previously. It seems to fill the powder tray from the hot water valve on program C
