I have just moved house and a washer dryer was left by previous owners. The washing machine works fine but I cannot get the dryer to work at all. The door locked sign lights up when I select a dry programme, but then just switches itself off after a minute. I know you cannot dry as big as load as you can wash and so have tried only putting a few tea towels, but still no joy. There are no clicking sounds or any signs of life at all. Have tried a spin dry programme, and spin completes but then just stops dead instead of beginning to dry and door locked light goes off. I have never owned a dryer before so am at a loss as to what to try - can anyone please help?

pull the knob off the dyer timer they are normally broken, u think you are turning the timer but the knob is just turning on the shaft, if the knob is broken turn the shaft with pliers just to confirm its working. regards gazza. unplug appliance before removing any covers.
