Havent tried hes putting the brushes back in. Icant understand how the machine was working fine washed and spun. The door initially wouldnt open after the wash so we had to manually open the door with string. We discovered the plastic block on the door handle was broken so ordered the new handle fitted it , but the door open error still showed on lcd. Fitted new interlock this evening we thought it would definitely work , were just getting no further. So brushes are fine so what are we looking for with the pcb and where is it allocated thanks again

IT appears there are several different derivatives of your model,
did you use the correct product code when ordering the parts you fitted.
I would suggest asking Hotpoint if they do a fixed price repair if you come to the conclusion the board has failed as they usually need to be programmed for the the model.
yes i ordered the correct part as it asked for the serial model so it was the one ending 096 above all from espare.com

How many wires are attached to the door switch?

If two, did you try (safely) joining them together and then seeing if the door open fault resolves?
