Hi
I have a 12 year old Aquarius WD540P which has stopped part way through a wash cycle.
The Door Locked LED was flashing, and the Wash LED was solid, it was unresponsive to the On/Off or Start /Cancel buttons, so switched off and then back on at the mains.
Result was Door lock LED off and the door opened - some water still in the drum, so emptied and checked the pump filter which was free of any debris.
Tried setting it to spin - machine does nothing and then shortly after goes back to Door Lock LED flashing and solid Wash LED.
Have read several similar posts relating to the WF541, in which the advice has been to buy a new door lock mechanism, and PCB Control Board. (Example prices were around £15 and £65 respectively)
Just wondering if anyone has any different advice /experience with the 540 (P), and whether it is going to be worth it - (Hotpoint have quoted a £75 call out charge - before anything is done!
) or would it be wiser to scrap and put the money towards buying a new machine?
Any advice etc gratefully received
Thanks
