Thankyou very much. Had thought as much from reading some of your other threads. Not too confident taking motor out though-can I get the brushes out without removing the motor?
Had a look and my brushes are screwed in and seem to still have a bit of length in them and are still in contact with the bit their meant to be in contact with!
Not confident unscrewing it all and not too sure if thats the problem after looking at them.
You need to remove the brushes they are spring loaded , once removed there's prob nothing left on them. U can do them with motor in situ lay machine on it's back or remove motor only 2 13 mm bolts you tube shows you how to do it.
