Hi, Machine started banging today on spin cycle. Stripped down and found bearings ok but spider sheared off! In process of cleaning, ready for new bearings,seal and spider, found that the shearing of spider has caused a 25mm dia' hole in edge of plastic outer drum. How watertight does this have to be? ie. can i repair with thin plate and epoxy?

its a write off.

any hole in the outer tub no natter how big / small means its a write off.

you dont know how long your attepmt at a fix will last if i will last at all
