W/M drum has recently stopped spinning, either during the actual wash cycle or during the spin - if it gets that far, just seems to hang at the point where drum turning is supposed to start during the cycle.
I have opened her up and given the brushes in the ac motor a nudge (power off of course ) and then machine seems to start working and spinning for a couple of washes and then stops again. Am I to deduce that the bushes need changing?
Of more concern though now is as I watch the machine in action with the top off to see if there is anything else causing the problems there are quite a number of sparks within the ac motor housing whenever the drums rotates - is this normal or do I need to get a new motor rather than just bushes???
Advice, as always, appreciated
