hotpoint aquarius wma30

i have a 5-year old machine h/p wma30. the drum\\\'s been banging whenever the machine is run (for the last few months). now the drum is stuck. i removed the screws from the back of the machine (in the hope of opening it) but could go no further. i notice that the weight of the motor inside seems to be hanging and can be pushed with ease and swings. i guess i have to buy a new machine but any hint on how to open it or repair it would be much appreciated.

sounds like the bolt holding the counter balance has come off, , try looking from under the m/c i.e lay it on its back, but do take hoses off first
