hotpoint aquarius wma30p overfilling

My washing machine, a hotpoint aquarius wma30p seems to overfill. This makes it very noisy and worryingly, when it tries to go into spin cycle, water is forced back out of the detergent drawer and puts a lot of pressure on the door & seals. Any ideas? I've no maintenance manual re panel/top removal, easy to fix? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

pressure switch tells it when to stop filling, BUt i woulkd suggest the pressure chamber is full of old scum, it neads cleaning.
