Hotpoint CTD00 Tumble Dryer

My dryer is spinning and getting hot, but is not drying and not expelling any water. I've hoovered the air vents and the filter is clean. Does anybody have any ideas what could be wrong please or is the best option a new dryer?

Check that the condenser is clean and that the ducting isn't blocked with fluff.
Something is stopping the water condensing/getting to the pump tank.
Alternatively it could be a knackered pump.
