Hotpoint dishwasher BFI680 not heating water or drying

Our built-in dishwasher Hotpoint BFI680 does not heat the water or dry. It has a flashing light, no7 (Auto Duo Wash). I am guessing the heater element is gone but anyone know what the fault code means? And how would I know if it is the heater or the PCB that needs replacement?
