Hotpoint DWF50 dishwasher - not heating the water

Our 3 year old dishwasher has stopped heating the water, although the drier heats up ok. As we have lost the instruction booklet and Hotpoint do not have one for this model on their site anymore, I wondered could anyone give me some advice on if there is a simple reason for this?
