Hotpoint FDD912X Rinse Aid Light Problem

Hello. I have got a Hotpoint FDD912X dishwasher, and up until now it has been very good.

But lately, the Rinse Aid light is on all the time, even when there is rinse aid in the dishwasher. Does anyone know why this might be, and if there is a way I could fix it? I am fairly certain it it out of warranty.

Once it's full it takes 30 cycles before light goes out. If you are using 3 in 1 or 5 in 1 etc you don't need rinse aid or salt.

I know. But I am saying that when I put rinse aid into the dishwasher, the light telling me it's empty still lights up.

Surely that can't be right? I've owned this dishwasher for probably 2-3 years, and this is the first time it's happened.
