Hotpoint fridge freezer FFA 8

Hi Hope I'm in the right section.

My hotpoint ffa 8 freezer completely iced up. (Its at the bottom)

I opened up the back panel and the fan was stuck solid with ice.

I defrosted it and everything has started to work.

I have cleaned the defrost drains out.

But the Freezer defrost red light stays on.

I would appreciate any advice on this? Is it the pcb board or does it have a defrost timer? or the defrost thermostat?
