Hotpoint Fridge/freezer just too cold

I have a Hoptpoint Fridge/freezer Model HM315NI and the problem I have is that the fridge/freezer is just too cold the fridge isabout 30 degrees F.Since I had it the temperature regulating knob has always been set at lowest position 1. I was wondering if you can adjust the temperature regulating knob by taking it apart?
